It has been an unusual time with the world facing unprecedented challenges amidst the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. My family and I sending you our love and support and we hope you are all staying safe and in good health.
 
To my family and friends, I am here to support you in any way I can. I’m grateful for today’s technology that allows us to connect – with or without video. Thank you WeChat, FaceTime, Skype! We definitely feel less alone when we can be together virtually!
To my clients, please know that I will continue to serve your every real estate need according to social distancing best practices. I will do everything I can to offer my knowledge and support. I will keep you updated as things change – often day by day, sometimes hour by hour.
That said, Arizona Governor Ducey this week issued a “Stay home, Stay healthy, Stay connected” order that limits Arizonians to limit their time away from their home. With that in mind, Real Estate Professionals have been recognized as essential services during this current hardship. I recognize the seriousness of this announcement and have adapted how I do business accordingly.
Over the past week, I have had several conversations inquiring about how my business continues during this time. Here is an overview on how I work today:
With Home Buyers:
    • One-on-one video appointments
    • Exploring the home virtually as much as possible, prior to touring
    • When touring the home in person, your safety is my top priority: bacterial wipes, hand sanitizer, booties will be provided
    • Social distancing at all times
With Home Sellers:
    • One-on-one video appointments
    • Continuing with professional photos, virtual tours and floorplan; adding 3D tours
    • Customize tour policies for each home based on Client’s preference
    • Communicate clear touring expectations to the Buyer’s Agents and Prospective Buyers

iBuyers are canceling closings

 

Contracts are being terminated sometimes just days before the closing is to happen, leaving home sellers stranded.

If you’ve read the news lately, you may have heard that iBuyer Real Estate companies have announced that they are temporarily suspending home buying for the foreseeable future. (An iBuyer company is an online real estate investment company that uses automated technology to make cash offers on homes.)

Their reasons do make sense in these unsettled times, such as safety of the agents and people working from home in order to stop the spread of COVID-19.
